A journey through the must-see salt flats of the Chilean Altiplano.
We’ll be passing by the hotel in the morning and take Route CH-27. As we reach an altitude of over 4,000 meters above sea level, the landscape will undergo a complete transformation. Our first stop will be at the viewpoint of the Licancabur and Juriques volcanoes. After that, we’ll visit Bofedal de Quipiaco to observe local birds and mammals, such as flamingos and vicuñas. Our journey will then take us to one of the most significant volcanic areas of the continent, la caldera La Pacana, where natural sculptures will set our imagination free with monks figures. The most iconic one is El Indio, standing over 30 meters tall. We’ll also visit the salt flats of Aguas Calientes and Quisquiro. The tour includes breakfast and snacks, and we provide binoculars, magnifying glasses, and satellite communication to ensure a safe and interactive experience.Recommendations: Warm clothing, sunscreen, 1 liter of water.
