Cerro Manquehue
General description: Cerro Manquehue is located in the eastern sector of the city, just 20 minutes from downtown Santiago. Its proximity allows it to be seen from any point in the city and offers the opportunity to enjoy a fascinating trekking experience. Its difficulty level is moderate, with an estimated ascent time of 3 hours at a slow pace. From the summit, at 1,638 meters in height, you can contemplate the entire city, the majestic Andes mountain range, and the Maipo Valley alongside the mountains. And, with a bit of luck, a condor might grace the skies above us. During winter, the hill may be covered with snow, transforming it into a unique spectacle.
Itinerary planning: Our transport will pick you up at your hotel at the previously agreed-upon time. We will travel to the commune of Lo Barnechea, 20 minutes from downtown Santiago, to embark on this experience that allows you to climb one of the most famous summits in the capital. The trek usually lasts about 5 hours (round trip). After the activity, we will return to your hotel.
Tour recommendations: To make your expedition a pleasant moment, we recommend wearing suitable clothing for mid-mountain trekking, considering the season of the year when you visit the park. In summer, temperatures can exceed 30 degrees, while in winter they hover around 5 degrees, potentially dropping below 0 degrees with the terrain completely covered in snow. Good footwear is essential at any time of the year. Finally, use sunscreen.
*Important: In winter, trekking is subject to weather conditions due to rain, snow, or poor trail conditions
