CAMINANDES POLICIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Agencia CaminAndes, RUT 76.929.334-5, domiciled at Caracoles 66, San Pedro de Atacama, Antofagasta Region, hereinafter referred to as “The Agency”, “Caminandes” or “The Company”.

CaminAndes Agency hereby communicates all information about cancellation, cancellation, refund policies and other eventualities that may intervene in the normal development of an excursion program, a tour or a reservation. This stipulates the conditions under which we work as Caminandes.

1. Reserves

Our company has as a requirement for the reservation of our excursions the prepayment of at least 50% of the total value of the service, the rest will be charged on the day of arrival in San Pedro de Atacama, ready to start your experience. The initial cost is charged to assure the client the realization of his excursions and to guarantee the anticipated operations that are necessary for the perfect functioning and development of the tour.

The requested reservation will only be 100% confirmed once the 50% of the total value of the excursion package has been paid. The deposit can be by: our bank account, international transfer or credit/debit card. The remaining 50% of the excursion package must be paid before the start of the first service by the following methods: cash (Chilean peso only), credit/debit card, wire transfer or Transferwise.

2. Cancellations

Reservation cancellations must be requested up to 30 days prior to the start of the program in order to receive a full refund of 100% of the payment made. If such deadline is not respected, there will be a fine according to the following table:
  • From 29 days to 10 days before the start of the program: 25% penalty on the total value of the reservation;
  • From 9 days to 5 days before the start of the program: 50% penalty on the total amount of the reservation;
  • From 4 days to 2 days before the start of the program: 75% penalty on the total value of the reservation;
  • No refunds for reservations cancelled 1 day prior to the start of the program.

2.1. Cancellations by the time the tour program has already started

Cancellations, total or partial, after the first service will not be refunded. The service must be paid 100%, for any reason that may occur.

2.2. Tour cancellations due to weather conditions

In case of strong wind, rain, snow or other weather conditions or any event beyond our control, which represents a risk to the safety of our passengers, the guide may decide to modify the itinerary of the program waiting for more favorable weather conditions, making a different route or even temporarily terminate the expedition.
If the tour for which it was substituted is of equal value, there will be no refund. If it has a lower value, the difference of the originally contracted tour value will be refunded. If it has a higher value, the difference in value will be charged.
Sole Paragraph: In the event that a tour cannot be carried out, 100% of the tour price will be refunded. Park tickets purchased in advance are subject to park policies. In case of non-return, the agency is not responsible.

3. Modifications

Changes in the itinerary before or during the beginning of the program must be arranged via Whatsapp (+56932592647) or by email informaciones@caminandesagencia.com, checking availability for the desired dates.
CaminAndes may make changes to the itinerary, even when initiated, considering factors such as weather, availability of excursions, parks and/or capacity. In case it is necessary to make changes in the itinerary, it will be communicated in advance.

4. Returns

All refunds must be requested via email: informaciones@caminandesagencia.com, in person or via WhatsApp with as much detail as possible of the reservation.

4.1. Deadline

CaminAndes has a period of 7 working days to make the return after the request has been accepted.

4.2. Return forms

Payments made by credit card will be refunded directly to your card. Once the cancellation has been made, the bank has 5 working days for the refund. Payments made by international wire transfer will be returned in the same manner. Payments made in cash and/or national transfer will be returned by the same means.

5. Theft, loss of objects and documents

CaminAndes will not be responsible for theft, loss of objects, accessories, documents, bank cards and other personal belongings left in the vehicle or on tour.

6. Tour equipment

All equipment provided by CaminAndes must be returned by the passenger in perfect condition and be held responsible in case of loss or damage.

7. Failure of CaminAndes to comply with the itinerary.

In the event that a passenger is not picked up for the contracted excursion, CaminAndes, upon being notified within the first 30 minutes after the pick up time, will provide an approach vehicle to reinstate the passenger for the course of the excursion. In case it is not possible to integrate the passenger to the tour, CaminAndes will present alternatives such as the modification of the itinerary or the complete refund of the lost excursion.

8. Previous illness of the passenger

In case you have any previous illness such as diabetes, hypertension or any other chronic illness, it is the passenger’s responsibility to inform his/her doctor about the trip and, especially, in case you want to do any activity such as trekking and/or volcanoes, you must also have a written authorization from your doctor that the passenger is fit to develop activities in altitude and extreme weather conditions.
